CAMIGUIN, May 14 (PIA)--The National Food Authority (NFA)-Camiguin Provincial Office in partnership with the Soro-soro Irrigators Association trained farmers and stakeholders on the use of moisture meter to ensure right pricing of Palay harvests during the Ugnayan, May 3 at Barangay Soro-soro, Mambajao, here.
Provincial Manager Leo Damole said even with the meager production of the said commodity in the province, they continuously provide support to the farmers through the regular conduct of Ugnayan.
Currently, NFA buys Palay for up to P20.70 taking into consideration the parameters for moisture content and purity.
NFA holds the Ugnayan as part of their effort to interact with the communities. It is the agency's way to promote harmonious and productive relationships among all rice and corn stakeholders.
