DTI-10 holds entrepreneurial seminars to support PRLEC in Bukidnon

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Aug. 8 (PIA)--The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)–10 in partnership with the Regional Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (RTF-ELCAC)–10’s Poverty Reduction, Livelihood, and Employment Cluster (PRLEC) has continuously held entrepreneurial mind setting seminars and other programs in Sitio Kibulag, Barangay Langtud, Bukidnon since the launching of the cluster services in the area in June.


“Karong August, for our upcoming events aduna mi'y batch two for our entrepreneurial mind setting seminars and distribution of knapsack sprayers for the 20 indigenous people nga beneficiaries, and we also have organic farming trainings in partnership with TESDA-10 (Technical Education and Skills Development Authority),” DTI-Bukidnon Business Counselor Melanie Joy S. Legara said.

(This August, for our upcoming events, we have a batch two for our entrepreneurial mind setting seminars and distribution of knapsack sprayers for the 20 indigenous people, who are our beneficiaries, and we also have organic farming trainings in partnership with TESDA-10)

DTI-10 has conducted entrepreneurial mind setting seminars since June 30 in the community to hone the beneficiaries' skills in entrepreneurship followed by the distribution of knapsack sprayers to equip their agricultural-centered livelihood.

“Ang entrepreneurial mind setting kay mao na ang first step na para ma-edukar ilang outlook nga dili lang baligya-baligya pero naa'y long term na goals, gikan sa pag-improve sa ilang characteristics,” she said.

(This entrepreneurial mind setting is the first step for them to have an educated outlook aside from just selling. Such also entails long term goals through their improved characteristics)

Through the development of sustainable commerce and trade skills in the community of Sitio Kibulag, the DTI-10 targets to alleviate poverty and help in ending local communist armed conflict in the region.

“Ang amoang purpose gyud ania (Our purpose for this) is for them to have a continuous livelihood, alongside PRLEC we have hoped for the reduction of poverty, this mind setting entrepreneurial seminars and our other programs aims to help them in having sustainable income generation,” Legara said.
