DAVAO CITY, -- The Internal Affairs Service of the Davao Region Police Office transferred three police officers to the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao pending the resolution of their case by the Office of the Chief of the Philippine National Police for conduct unbecoming of a police officer.
Police Lt. Colonel Julius Bargio, spokesperson of the Internal Affairs Service of Police Regional Office XI said the police officers figured in a drinking session in a public place which is a big no-no for the uniformed service of the government.
He did not identify the said police officers who were working with the Regional Internal Affairs Service XI when they allegedly committed the mistake.
Bargio said that cases involving police officers that have gone viral in the social media are immediately resolved.
He explained that pending the final decision of the Office of the Chief PNP, the three police officers were immediately relieved from the RIAS XI and were transferred immediately to the BARMM-PNP.
“Our function is only recommendatory, it is the regional director or the national police chief who will give the final judgment the respondent,” Bargio said.
