Kuya Jocals pledge to shoulder funeral  expenses of a mom who committed suicide

DESPITE beset with problems and pressures of his international company, Businessman Joshua Calderon pledged to shoulder the funeral expenses of a mother who committed suicide.

The businessman overheard the sad fate of a woman on Magnum Radio program and texted the anchorman Manny Agustero that he is pledging to pay all the expenses that will be incurred during the wake and funeral of the victim.

Mr Calderon has been known for his humanitarian efforts in the past especally on helping the frontliners in many parts of the country. He gave PPEs, sacks of rice, snacks and other protection items to frontliners amid the threats of the deadly coronavirus disease. 

Just recently, this good samaritan businessman also rewarded a trike driver who donated his one day income to another resident of this city who also committed suicide due to too much hardships and poverty.

Mr Calderon pledged to shoulder the packaged burial and funeral expenses worth P27,000. Other pledges of P1,000 each also flooded the morning radio program of Manny Agustero.

"Daghan gyud kaayong salamat sa hinabang ni Jocals. Sir, ang ginoo nay maigo mobalos sa imong kaayo, ug magadugang ug daghan blessings nganha kanimo. (Thank you so much for the help Jocals. The Lord Almighty is going to reciprocate your kindness and generosity with abundant blessings) 

THE STORY

When a news broke out about a mother who works in one of the malls in the city committed suicide due to an alleged love triangle, Magnum radio conducted a thorough investigation of the case and sent a reporter to the scene of the crime.

Pedrito Amarga, father of the victim - a 29-year-old mom Regie Amarga who take her own life by committing a suicide. The victim has three siblings, it was learned during an interview conducted by the radio station.

The victim's husband, according to the report, has left the victim and went to another woman. This prompted the victim to become depressed as they had three children to feed and take care of.

"Nganong naghikog man intawon kining akong anak nga pagkadaghan sa mga lalake. Aduna raba kini tulo ka mga anak," the victim's father Pedrito said

The victim's sister said she's been following her elder sister's marriage problem and she's been giving her advice to take her marriage problem lightly because she has three siblings.
