City accepts donated NHA-owned properties

THROUGH Ordinance No. 13894-2020., the 19th City Council headed by Vice Mayor Raineir Joaquin V. Uy accepted the offer of the National Housing Authority (NHA) to donate to the city government the housing units, road networks and open spaces of the NHA-Mambuaya Village Phase 1 located in Barangay Mambuaya; MHA-Lumbia Heights Phase 1 at Sitio Pahiron, Lumbia;  and NHA-Bayanihan Village Phase 1 at Macapaya, Barangay Camaman-an.

 

The National Housing Authority implemented the development of NHA-CDO Bayanihan Village Phase 1 to provide permanent resettlement site for families affected by Typhoon Sendong.

 

There is a need to transfer the completed projects to enable the city government to administer, operate, maintain the completed components and utilize, maintain and/or improve the same in accordance with its functions and responsibilities pertaining to these facilities, The Gavel learned.

 

The ordinance also authorizes Mayor Oscar Moreno to enter into and sign the respective deed of donation and acceptance of the properties.
