Capitol University celebrates the second year of its Knowledge Festival through short powerful talks from experts on Saturday, 14 December 2019.
“Capitol University is proud to conduct KNOWLEDGE FESTIVAL 2019, a conference that goes beyond the book!” said Dr. Heidi Grace P. Mendoza, Manager, Knowledge Festival 2019, and Coordinator, Continuing & Professional Learning Program.
“A celebration of learning through short powerful talks from experts, it is aimed to enhance the learning experience of students and augment the teaching environment through the sharing of practitioners,” she added. “We are looking forward to have an audience of five hundred students who come from different professions and organizations.”
Ms. Mercedes Pelaez-Mejia, chairperson of the European Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines (ECCP) Cagayan de Oro-Northern Mindanao, will be the keynote speaker for the opening ceremony.
Power Talks by the powerhouse lineup of speakers immediately follow the brief opening program in AVRs 10-9 from 9:00AM-12NN, to resume at 1-4PM at the same venues following a lunch break.
Among the varied topics to be discussed in the Power Talks are “Policy Formulation for National Growth and Development” (Engr. Ted Buenavista, Jr.); “Laws Governing Business Contracts and Agreements” (Atty. Christy M. Jugador); “How to Reduce and Prepare for the Risk of Disaster” (Ms. Margarette Broñola, CDODRRMC); “The Function and Aesthetics of Product Design” (Mr. Chris Gomez); “Keeping the balance between being a Teacher and a Coach” (Mr. Paul R. Juarez)’; “Finding and Keeping the Romantic Love Alive” (Ptr. Alonzo T. Chiong); among others.
Festival participants can join two sessions in the morning (9-10:30, 10:30-12) and two in the afternoon (1-2:30, 2:30-4). There are a total of eighteen topics in the morning and another 18 in the afternoon to choose from.
Knowledge Festival 2019, a celebration of learning by the CU graduate school with the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency & Accreditation Program, is organized by the Continuing and Professional Learning Program with the CU Graduate School student body organization in partnership with European Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines Cagayan de Oro-Northern Mindanao.
