MANILA, Philippines — To strenghten its fight against the deadly coronavirus disease, the government will be conducting a house-to-house search, the DILG chief said on Tuesday.
DILG chief Eduardo Año said house-to-house checking will help the government identify more covid-19 patients with mild symptoms and tranfer them to monitoring facilities, purposely to avoid the spread of the virus.
Año said those with respiratory disease and with mild symptoms will not be permitted anymore to just quarantine themselves without any government interventions, especially if the house has no necessary facilities.
However, those patients deemed asymptomatic will be allowed to have home quarantine. Provided, however, they have their own room and bath, and do not have anyone in the house who is considered vulnerable
