ZAMBOANGA CITY - Law enforcers arrested Monday a government worker during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Tetuan, this city.
The raiding team identified the suspect as Jayson Rillera, 42, reportedly a worker at the Department of Agriculture. Operatives also seized some 1.3 grams of the illegal drug suspected as 'shabu,' and with a market value of around P8,840 plus the marked money.
Those who were also arrested during a separate buy-bust were Abdurakman Mohammad, 24; Limuel Roberto, 22, and Boynaben Usman, 39.
Brig General Ronaldo Genaro Ylagan, regional director of PRO-9 told the media the suspects have been a subject of surveillance for months after a drug buy-nust operation was planned to arrest them.
Ylagan said a separate buy-bust was also conducted against Usman and and Mohammad which also resulted to their arrest and the confiscation of five grams of illegal drugs also known as shabu. The drugs seized from the two suspects, the police said, wwere valued at P34,000 plus the P200 marked money.
Ylagan said another separate buy-bust operation also resulted to arrest of a certain Roberto in Barangay Luop, Diplahan in Zamboanga Sibugay and the police also confiscated 20 grams of shabu worth P136,000.
The joint operations in the region, the general said, netted a total of P200,000 worth of illegal drugs.
The four suspects will be charged in court for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
