The government has accounted at least 10 people dead as Typhoon Ursula hammered Aklan, Samar Island, northern Antique, Tacloban and Capiz even during Christmas eve.
Over 16,000 people were also recorded by NDRRMC for those affected by Typhoon Ursula, as their houses blew off by strong winds. The typhoon also destroyed commercial buildings, schools and commercial establishments.
The dead people were identified by NDRRMC in Iloilo, Kananga and Abuyog towns in Leyte, including Capiz province.
Identities of those who have lost to Typhoon Ursula have not yet been identified as the typhoon continued to hammer far-flung areas in those mentioned provinces bad-ly hit by the typhoon.
Those who chose last hour preparation to go home to their respected provinces were stranded in airports and piers under attack by Ursula, as flights and buses schedules were already cancelled.
The coast guard has confirmed the sea has now become dangerous for travellers and last hour vacationers. In fact, at least 40 flights were already cancelled by domestic airlines, especially on routes going to the Visayas.
Since yesterday, tropical cyclone wind signal #3 was identified by NDRRMC in Calamian Islands, and southern part of Mindoro.
