MDN DIGITAL, April 29 - At least three passengers were confirmed dead when a helicopter crashed Monday in a suburban community in Kailua, Oahu Island in Hawaii, police authorities reported.
Identities of those who died during the crash were not available at press time. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash. Fire and debris, reports said, were raining in the sky during the tragic incident
Kailua resident Melissa Solomon told reporters she was driving when she saw flames and helicopter in the sky shockingly plummeted in front of her. “All you could see was fire, she narrated.
Shayne Enright, from Honolulu emergency department said her team were responding on another incident in the nearby area when they received an emergency call of the horrific helicopter crash in Kailua community.
She said when her team arrived in the scene, people were screaming and they tried to stop the flames on the helicopter that crashed inside the Kailua community. Minutes later firefighters arrived and stopped the fire from spreading further to the whole body of the helicopter.
