858 Cogon Market Complex helps displaced persons in COVID-19 crisis

858 Cogon Market Complex and its sister company Yin Ji, Inc. donated sacks of rice and assorted processed foods to people in Cagayan de Oro City and Misamis Oriental who are displaced by the current COVID-19 crisis.


858 Cogon Market Complex general manager Ben Sy said this is the corporate social responsibility of the company in giving back to their host community.


Thus, the beneficiaries of the donation were the barangay council of Casinglot, the municipality of Tagoloan, the city government of Cagayan de Oro and the provincial government of Misamis Oriental.


Casinglot is the host community of Yin Ji, Inc., a batching plant specializing in crushers.


A total of 60 sacks of rice, 912 cans of corned beef and 4100 cans of sardines.


858 Cogon Market Complex opened in 2012. Its lessees include several RTWs, cellphone accessories, food carts and its largest lessee Unitop. It occupies portions of the ground and second levels; and third level of Cogon public market in Cagayan de Oro City.
